Multiple teens arrested after police find pot inside their vehicle

Five teenagers were taken into custody after police found marijuana inside their vehicle.

It was just after 12:00 a.m. on Monday, Jan. 17, when an Elkhart police officer near the Pierre Moran Pool spotted a Ford Focus in the parking lot with five people inside.

When the officer approached the vehicle, he said he smelled the odor of marijuana.

The officer searched the vehicle and found the pot.

A 16-year-old boy, a 17-year-old boy and two 15-year-old girls were booked for possession of marijuana and released to their parents.

Another 17-year-old was arrested for possession of marijuana, leaving home without permission and false informing.
