A man has been charged after he allegedly burglarized two residences in South Bend and tried to burglarize a third.
It was around 8:20 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 20, when South Bend Police officers were dispatched to the 1100 block of Corby Boulevard in response to a burglary alarm.
While officers were investigating the alarm, they located and detained a male who would proceed to falsely identify himself.
Through the investigation, the male was identified as Michael Krovitch.
Investigators say Krovitch was wearing a black face hood, a headlamp, and had burglary tools on him.
Krovitch was arrested for burglary and theft and booked into the St. Joseph County Jail.
He’s also suspect in burglaries that happened in November on East Cedar Street and in December on East South Bend Avenue, though he’s denied any involvement.
