South Bend Police are investigating what’s being considered a “suspicious death.”

Officers were called after 6 a.m. on Friday, Feb. 4, to the area of College and Humboldt Streets.

Investigators say a woman was found dead on a porch. A child was with the woman.

The child was taken to the hospital for treatment.

The circumstances surrounding the victim’s death are still under investigation by the South Bend Police Department’s Violent Crimes Unit.
