NIPSCO offering new energy assistance programs for seniors, veterans

NIPSCO has created a pair of new energy assistance programs for eligible seniors.

One is the Supply Energy Resources to Veterans, or SERV program. The other is the Seniors in Indiana Low-Income and Vulnerable Energy Resource, or SILVER. Both offer a one-time benefit of up to 400 dollars per year for those who qualify.

Those wishing to enroll in SERV need to be active duty or a former honorably discharged member with an active NIPSCO residential gas service. SILVER is available only for residential customers over the age of 60.
