NIPSCO has created a pair of new energy assistance programs for eligible seniors.

One is the Supply Energy Resources to Veterans, or SERV program. The other is the Seniors in Indiana Low-Income and Vulnerable Energy Resource, or SILVER. Both offer a one-time benefit of up to 400 dollars per year for those who qualify.

Those wishing to enroll in SERV need to be active duty or a former honorably discharged member with an active NIPSCO residential gas service. SILVER is available only for residential customers over the age of 60.

Anyone interested in learning more about the opportunities and requirements can learn more at the NIPSCO savings website, by clicking here.
