Elkhart County Parks Department eyes upgrading all restrooms using federal aid

(Tim Vandenack/Elkhart Truth)

The Elkhart County Parks Department hopes to upgrade all of its restrooms using $4 million in federal aid.

The Elkhart Truth reports the County Board of Commissioners has approved using American Rescue Plan Act funds to cover the costs.

The Parks Director says of the nearly two dozen restrooms in the county parks, 14 of them, are 50-years-old – which predate A-D-A standards – and only four are modern facilities.

The Elkhart County Council will also consider the request.

The American Rescue Plan was supposed to help us recover from COVID. How does updating bathrooms in parks do that?

Face it Democrat voters: your party lied to you, and is bilking you out of TRILLIONS of tax dollars on stupid crap.

More money wasted on projects that have nothing to do with the reason they were give the money in the first place. Lets just see how fast we can burn it up, then ask for more. WE, the taxpayers are paying for this. Wake up.
