Indiana State Police investigating death of Marshall County Jail inmate

Indiana State Police at the Bremen Post are investigating the death of an inmate at the Marshall County Jail.

It was around 1:00 a.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 16, when Marshall County Jail staff were alerted by an inmate that a bunkmate was suffering from a possible medical episode.

Jail staff initiated medical efforts but the 61-year-old male inmate became unresponsive.

The inmate was taken to The Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center in Plymouth where he was pronounced dead.
