Another turkey farm in Dubois County has tested positive for the H5 avian flu.

This brings the total number of affected birds to over 55,000. The Board of Animal Health expected this, as this second affected farm, code named Dubois2, is one of the 18 farms currently quarantined.

The original affected farm, Dubois1, had over 29,000 affected birds.

The board emphasized the fact that meat and eggs should not be affected by the flu.
