Prosecutors dropped a battery charge against a woman accused of getting aggressive with a public safety official at a town hall meeting last year.
Court records show prosecutors asked a judge to dismiss the case against Kellie Moore on Monday. Moore was one of three people charged following an August 2025 town hall with Indiana Lieutenant Governor Micah Beckwith.
Beckwith said people got angry during discussions over energy policies and redistricting.
A judge sentenced Amanda Bennett to one year of probation for shoving a sheriff’s deputy. A resisting law enforcement charge against Matthew Eike was dismissed. However, he still faces two disorderly conduct charges and is set for a bench trial on January 22.
