Niles resident struck, killed in hit-and-run collision early Sunday morning

A Niles resident died after she was struck by a vehicle in the area of South 3rd Street and Brooks Street in Niles Township.

Berrien County Sheriff’s Deputies and other first responders were called to the scene shortly after 4:30 a.m. on Sunday, Feb. 20, where they found Monica Clubb, seriously injured after being struck by a vehicle. Clubb was taken to Memorial Hospital in South Bend where she died due to her injuries.

At this time,  the Berrien County Sheriff’s Office is looking for the driver who they say fled the scene after striking Clubb.

The Sheriff’s Office has received information from witnesses who describe an unknown make or model, dark in color, pick-up truck/SUV as a possible suspect vehicle.

Anybody with information is asked to contact the Berrien County Detectives Bureau to help with the investigation.
