Turkeys on a fourth farm have tested positive for avian flu, which is forcing the euthanization of another 15,200 turkeys, said the Indiana Board of Animal Health, Saturday.

The farm is in Greene County, which is west of Bloomington and north of where the flu was first detected, about two weeks ago in Dubois county.

Since then about 115,000 birds have been killed to prevent the flu from spreading.

Another 13 farms are now under quarantine.

The avian flu strain that has spread among the turkeys is not a strain that has spread to humans in the United States.

The Indiana Board of Animal Health said that the avian flu could be a threat to the state’s agriculture industry with our trading partners from other countries. Indiana is the third-largest turkey producer in the country.
