Mishawaka Common Council members voted to pass bill to expand riverfront development

Mishawaka Common Council members have voted to pass a bill that would expand riverfront development and, at the same time, help businesses to get a less-expensive liquor license.

The bill is needed to expand the size of the district, as state law allows for reduced license fees that are considered riverfront development.

The Redevelopment Commission must approve the bill, and, if they do, businesses would be eligible for the cheaper licenses.
