March is Problem Gambling Awareness Month, and the Pokagon Band of Potawatomi’s Four winds Casinos and the National Council on Problem Gambling are looking to increase awareness this month.
Groups across the country are hosting conferences, airing public service announcements, providing counselor trainings, hosting health screening days, running social media campaigns, and more. They hope to increase public awareness of problem gambling and the availability of prevention, treatment, and recovery resources. Four Winds also promotes responsible gambling at all of their locations. All of their casinos display printed brochures with information about the signs of problem gambling, and toll-free hotlines to seek help.
