WASHINGTON – Today, U.S. Senator Todd Young (R-Ind.) spoke at a press conference after the Consumer Price Index (CPI) showed inflation soared to 7.9% in February, another forty-year high.

“We’ve seen the price of household goods and essentials outpace the increase in wages consistently, across income groups and across geographies. In short, people are hurting.

Young emphasized that everyday Hoosiers are hurting from rising inflation. The cost of rent, goods, and other necessities is causing stress on families as their daily costs grow higher.

“I had the opportunity just days ago to speak to the director of a not-for-profit on the east side of Indianapolis by the name of the Shepherd Community Center. They provide social services to at-risk Hoosiers and their families, and what this director told me was incredibly compelling and heart-rending. We have families that this director is serving that are having to water down their milk to last a little bit longer,” said Young during his Thursday press conference.

He won’t do a thing. RINO Young has repeatedly sponsored legislation to destroy the suburbs by giving the Feds more control over local zoning laws. He hates Hoosiers, just as much as his Democrat counterparts.

They want us all broke, starving, and huddled helplessly in a crime riddled “utopia”.
