A true sign of spring:  construction on the bypass.

Starting Monday, March 14, the inside left lanes of the U.S. 20-31 bypass in South Bend will be closed while crews build crossovers for a bridge replacement project.

Vehicles will need to use the right lanes for at around three weeks. The left lanes on U.S. 31 underneath the bypass bridge will be blocked, as well.

The whole project could take until the end of 2022 to finish.
