Indiana is the “9th most federally dependent state” in the U.S., according to a new study by Wallethub.

The study says Indiana has the 8th highest return on taxes paid to the federal government and ranks 12th for federal funding as a share of state revenue.

Wallethub says that states with a higher level of federal dependence are likely better positioned to handle the coronavirus pandemic.
