Campaigns to boost tourism in Indiana that were created in the South Bend-Elkhart area have been honored by industry leaders.

The Indiana Tourism Awards were presented earlier this month at the annual conference of the Indiana Tourism Association in Noblesville. The awards recognize efforts in creativity, innovation and maximum bang for their buck, according to Northwest Indiana Business.

Visit South Bend Mishawaka won the award for Best Tourism Website. The Elkhart County CVB was honored for Best Visitors Guide.

The Association was founded in 1980.
