The 15-year-old boy accused of killing 6-ear-old Grace Ross in New Carlisle, last year, will be staying put in the St. Joseph County Jail.

Anthony Hutchens and his attorney appeared in court, Wednesday, to try to get him moved out of adult jail while he awaits his murder trial.

Hutchens’ attorney expressed concern about his client being exposed to adults, however, the judge turned down the request, stating the Juvenile Justice Center would not take Hutchens.

The South Bend Tribune reports the judge said Hutchens could be sent to Allen or LaPorte County facilities, but Hutchens’ attorney argued those options would affect his ability to properly represent his client.
