Police investigating hit-and-run crash at the St. Joseph County Jail

South Bend Police are investigating an apparent hit-and-run that involving a South Bend Fire Department vehicle at the St. Joseph County Jail.

The collision happened around 9 a.m. on Wednesday, March 30, when a vehicle rear-ended the fire department vehicle, then fled the scene, according to 95.3 MNC’s reporting partners at ABC 57.

There were no injuries reported and no immediate word about a suspect vehicle description.
