Man arrested after jumping from third-floor window

A man who jumped out of a third-floor window of the Motel 6 in Roseland faces charges of battery against a public safety official and resisting law enforcement.
Officers were called to the motel on Monday, March 28, on the report of an unwanted person hiding, then trying to break into a room, on the third floor.
ABC 57 News reports officers ran into the suspect, Arizona Niles, while on their way up to the floor.
Investigators say he became combative as they tried to cuff him, took off, jumped from a window, then fan from the parking lot.
He returned to the motel a few minutes later and police nabbed him.
He was taken to the hospital where he had to be sedated.
