A wet week expected across Indiana

There are chances of rain across Indiana every day this week.

“There will be rain on Tuesday, showers and storms Wednesday, and then more chances for showers Thursday and Friday. This will be throughout the whole state. The cold front moves in Tuesday. There will be warmer temperatures today through Wednesday. Then there will be a big cooldown by Thursday and Friday,” said Cody Moore, meteorologist with the National Weather Service in Indianapolis.

Moore expects temperatures in most places across the state to drop into the 40s on Thursday and Friday. He says you might see some light snow on Friday, but no serious accumulation. Some places could get between a half-inch and an inch of rain by the end of the week.

“Saturday might be a little cool before we start to warm up. Then Sunday will be nice. We’ll possibly reach the 70 degree mark by Monday and then much warmer throughout next week,” said Moore.

Moore does not expect any severe weather this week. He predicts that Wednesday will be the day where the highest chances exist for thunderstorms.
