Woman who died after being found at Chippewa and Keria Trail identified

The woman whose body was found, Saturday, in the area of Chippewa and Keria Trail has been identified.

The victim is Marinea Erp, 52, of South Bend.

The County Corner has determined she died due to injuries suffered from gun shot wounds.

St. Joseph County Police officers received a call from a passerby who said the female was bleeding from her mouth & nose and appeared to be having a seizure.

She died after being taken to the hospital.

At this time, County Police do not know how Erp ended up on Chippewa. So far, no word of any suspects.
