A heads-up for drivers who use Lincoln Way West in South Bend.

Lincoln Way West will be closed from Fremont to Elmer Street starting Monday, April 18 and lasting through Friday.

It’s the final phase of the Lincoln Way and Olive Streetscape Project, which included new lighting, curbs, sidewalks, bumpouts, storm sewers, asphalt pavement, landscape improvements and upgraded traffic signals.

The detour routes will be in place, day and night, until the work is finished.
