Notre Dame quarterback Tyler Buchner will not be on the field for the Blue-Gold game Saturday due to an ankle injury.

The team says the injury happened when he was walking down the stairs after a quarterbacks meeting. Drew Pine will play quarterback for both Blue and Gold.

The commissioner for the game this year is former Irish running back and NFL Hall of Famer Jerome Bettis.
