A man, stopped by a private investigator, was arrested for allegedly breaking into a home on Grove Street in Mishawaka.

The private eye was called to a client’s home, Monday, who got word from a neighbor about suspicious activity at the home.

Police arrived to find the private investigator keeping guard on the suspect, Jonathan Secord, who was sitting on the ground. ABC 57 News reports Secord first gave police a phony name and told them he was there just to get some items for the owner’s son.

Secord has been charged with burglary, criminal trespass and false informing.
