Annual spring shredding event for Michiana Crime Stoppers set for Saturday morning

(Jon Zimney/95.3 MNC)

Tis the season for spring cleaning and Michiana Crime Stoppers is, once again, offering the opportunity to have personal papers shredded.

The spring shredding event is talking place at the St. Joseph County Fairgrounds from 8 a.m. until 12 p.m. on Saturday, April 30.

Enter at Gate 7 and, for a minimum $10-dollar donation, the folks at Integra Certified Document Destruction will shred your personal and sensitive documents.

The money raised will go toward the reward fund that Michiana Crime Stoppers uses for anonymous tipsters whose tips lead to arrests.

Michiana Crime Stoppers recently increased the amount of their rewards to $1,000 for tips for crimes in which guns are used and $2,500 for information leading to murder suspects.
