Elkhart Police Sgt. struck by vehicle while directing traffic at crash site

An Elkhart police officer directing traffic at the scene of a crash was struck by a vehicle.

The collision between a Toyota Sienna and Honda CRV happened around 4:45 a.m. on Thursday, May 19, at West Hively and Bennett Avenues.

Police Sgt. Michael Davis was struck from behind by a Kia Sportage turning east onto Hively from Benham. The vehicle was pulling into the driveway of a gas station.

The driver remained at the scene and cooperated with police.

Sgt. Davis was treated for a concussion and a broken wrist, and released from the hospital.

The drivers of the of the original crash suffered minor injuries.

This is mostly true but is still a lie I have the incident report and his worst injury was a concussion, nothing about any broken bones and this is coming straight from the doctors. Tell his side of the story but not mine that’s favoritism. Learn the whole story before you make a article for petty change.
