A woman in South Bend says that her car was stolen, by the man hired to fix it.

It happened in January, when the woman took her vehicle to 31-year-old Andrew Waltz, who was a family friend.

She says that her radiator hoses needed to be fixed.

The victim told police that, after 6 weeks, she still did not have her car back and that Waltz would not return her calls.

ABC 57 News reports that Waltz was taken into custody on March 2, in La Porte County.

He is charged with auto theft.
