Woman, 44, killed in crash at Pike & 3rd Streets in Goshen

A 44-year-old woman died in a crash involving three vehicles at Pike and 3rd Streets in Goshen.

Police, fire and medics were called around 11:40 p.m. on Friday, June 10, to the intersection of Pike St and 3rd St.

Two of the drivers involved, a 21-year-old man from Goshen, and a 32-year-old woman  from Battle Creek, were taken to the Goshen Hospital for non-life threatening injuries.

One driver, a 48-year-old man from Goshen, was air lifted to South Bend Memorial Hospital with life-threatening injuries.

A passenger in one of the vehicles, the 44-year-old woman from Goshen, died at the scene.

There was no immediate word about what led to the crash.

The driver of the vehicle that caused the crash ran a red light heading east on pike and crashed into the young man’s car who was headed south bound on third and they crashed into me after striking each other.
