Michigan Republican, Perry Johnson, not included on Michigan ballots

FILE- In a Dec. 12, 2012 file photo, the state capitol building is seen in Lansing, Mich. Braced for a new era of divided government, lame-duck Republicans who have long controlled two upper Midwest states are priming last-ditch laws to advance their conservative agenda or to weaken the influence of Democratic governors-elect. The moves, which may spark lawsuits if they come to pass, would follow midterm elections in which Democrats swept statewide offices in Michigan and Wisconsin for the first time in decades but fell short of taking over gerrymandered legislatures(AP Photo/Carlos Osorio, FILE)

Michigan Republican, Perry Johnson, is not being included on the G-O-P primary ballot or the ballot for governor.

Johnson was one of 5 candidates who were not included on the ballot, due to lack of valid signatures.

The elections bureau says that the candidates submitted fake signatures.

In response, Johnson went to court.

It was an attempt to get on the ballot.

He told the federal judge that the situation was unconstitutional.

The judge declined Johnson’s request, saying that it was constitutional and that the ballots had already been printed.
