A South Bend man was arrested thirty minutes after being released from jail for trespassing at the same location.

On Sunday, police were called to the 100 block of North Walnut Streets, because of an unwanted person.

That’s where they found Jonathan Watts, 100 feet from where he was previously arrested.

Officers say that they tried to Watts, but he would not cooperate.

ABC 57 news reports that Watts hit an officer in the arm.

He is now being charged with battery against a public safety official, resisting law enforcement, and criminal trespass.
