2022’s best and worst states for working dads

Not all working fathers are in the same situation.
Those who live in states with greater economic opportunity and quality of life have it better than others, says Wallethub.
Wallethub conducted a study called “2022’s Best and Worst States for Working Dads.” Indiana was ranked 23rd in that study.
Indiana ranked 23rd in economic and social well-being, 18th in child care, but 38th in both health and work-life balance for fathers.
Massachusetts was ranked #1. Louisiana was ranked the worst state for working fathers.

Utah has the lowest unemployment rate for dads with kids aged 0 to 17, 1.40 percent, which is three times lower than in West Virginia, the highest at 4.23 percent.
Massachusetts has the lowest male uninsured rate, 3.40 percent, which is 5.3 times lower than in Texas, the highest at 18.10 percent.
Mississippi has the lowest average annual early child-care costs (adjusted for median family income), 5.24 percent, which is 2.1 times lower than in Nebraska, the highest at 11.01 percent.
Hawaii has the lowest share of men who couldn’t afford to see a doctor in the past year because of costs, 5.80 percent, which is 2.2 times lower than in Texas, with the highest at 13.00 percent.

Wallethub is liberal junk, so all these ranking are made through a liberal lens and thus are largely disconnected from reality.

I’m sure fathers in Indiana are just fine without receiving free “gender affirming health care”, despite that causing Indiana to be ranked low on the list.
