An expansive solar energy project in New Carlisle is on hold.

The multimillion dollar Honey Suckle Solar Farm Project is hammering out finances for the project, while Lightsource B-P works on deadlines.

County Council President, Rafael Morton says that he wants to use local labor for the project.

WSBT reports that if the project is finished, Olive Township would see 27 million dollars in additional taxes.

County council has postponed the vote.

They say they’ll discuss it at their next meeting.
