Elkhart man and woman are recovering from injuries after head-on crash

An Elkhart man and an Elkhart woman are recovering from injuries after a head-on crash at County Road 10 and County Road 17.
The collision happened around 4:40 a.m. on Friday, June 17, when Elkhart County Sheriff’s deputies say the 37-year-old woman failed to yield at the intersection and struck the other vehicle, head on, while attempting a turn.
Both vehicles received heavy front end damage.
The woman who police say caused the crash was taken to the hospital with a foot injury.
The 56-year-old man in the other vehicle was also taken to the hospital with pain to his shoulder and leg.
