An Elkhart man was arrested for allegedly shooting two men, after being released from prison for murder.
Police were called to the Eagles Lodge in Elkhart, in April, on reports of gunshots.
When they arrived, they found a man who had been shot in the legs inside the building.
The other man was found outside, with gunshot wounds to the chest and arm.
One of the victims identified 28-year-old Dentrell Brown as the shooter.
The Elkhart Truth reports that Brown had been serving a 60-year sentence for the 2008 murder of Gerald Wenger.
Brown was recently released.
His trial date is set for January 9.

Time warp apparently. 60 years went by in only 14.
“had been serving a 60-year sentence for the 2008 murder of Gerald Wenger. Brown was recently released.”
We need to stop letting violent criminals out early, if we let them out at all. If a lifetime of incarceration is too much of a burden on the taxpayer, bullets are cheap. Sometimes it’s best just to put the rabid dogs down.
