Body found in Tippecanoe River, ruled a homicide

The man whose body was found near the Tippecanoe River died due to gunshot wounds and his death has been ruled a homicide.

Marshall County Sheriff’s Office investigators believe the shooting happened out of state and the body was abandoned in Marshall County.

Police were called around 11:40 p.m. on Saturday, June 19, to investigate after the body was found in a remote area on 20th Road west of State Road 331 near the Tippecanoe River crossing.

The victim was described by police as a heavy-set, wearing white pants, a white t-shirt, and no shoes.
