A Mishawaka woman was arrested after allegedly stealing a car from a gas station, which she said she borrowed from a friend.

The woman, Jessica Stevens, was stopped by an officer, on the intersection of Cleveland and Gumwood.

The officer says he had received a report of a missing car and recognized Stevens from an active warrant.

The owner of the car says that he went into the gas station, at Ewing and Ironwood Drive, and when he came back out, his car was gone.

ABC 57 News reports that surveillance footage shows Stevens getting into the car and driving away.

She was charged with auto theft.
