A judge has ruled in favor of the City of Elkhart, in a trial for a 2016 shooting.

Norman Gary was shot and killed by police officers in December of 2016.

Gary’s family sued the city and officers for wrongful death, use of excessive force, failure to train officers properly, and failure to enforce body camera policy.

ABC 57 News reports that the two officers, Nathan Lanzena and Leonard Dolshenko, were cleared by a grand jury.

The wrongful death claim was also dismissed.
