A 22-month-old boy died at Big Long Lake over the weekend

A 22-month-old boy died at Big Long Lake in LaGrange County.

Officers were called to the 5900 block of South 1000 East on Saturday, July 2, at 8:19 p.m., after a toddler was pulled from the water.

ABC 57 News reports that the child was unresponsive.

He was then airlifted to the hospital. He died Sunday, July 3, at 11 p.m.

The Indiana Department of Natural Resources says his death was a possible drowning, but the cause is still being investigated.
