Two arrested after leading police on chase in stolen vehicle

Two people were arrested in Sturgis after leading police on a chase, in a stolen vehicle.

It happened on Friday, July 1, at 7:56 p.m., when police say they saw a stolen vehicle driving on North Nottawa Road.

When they tried to stop the vehicle, the 18-year-old driver allegedly drove onto M-66.

Both the passenger and driver were taken into custody.

The two were taken to the St. Joseph County Jail on charges of resisting and obstructing, fleeing and eluding, possessing a stolen vehicle, and possessing drug paraphernalia.
