The Crossroads of America is currently also serving as an Olympic Crossroads for another country.

Ukraine’s Olympic Wrestling team is spending the summer training in Indiana. On Thursday the Ukrainian Greco-Roman men’s wrestling team were working out at Hammond Central High School in Lake County. They’ll be in the Northwest corner of the state through August 3, working out with local wrestlers.

Ukraine’s athletes are in The Hoosier State thanks to financing from the Indiana Economic Development Corporation. Governor Holcomb discussed the possibility with the Ukrainian Ambassador shortly after the Russian invasion of the country.
