A quick arrest, made by South Bend Police, who tracked down a burglary suspect after a break-in.
It was Saturday afternoon, July 9, when officers were called to the 300 block of South Lafayette Boulevard on the report after a security alarm went off.
On arrival, officers found a broken window and shattered glass on the sidewalk. The business owner got there and gave police surveillance video, which showed the suspect breaking the window to get inside.
About later, and not far from the scene, officers spotted the suspect, carrying the items that were taken from the business. The suspect was taken to the Juvenile Justice Center.
The stolen property was given back to the business owner.
