Greenwood Mall shooter’s family releases statement

A vigil took place on Friday night for those that were killed during the Greenwood mass shooting.

The victims are husband and wife, Pedro Pineda and Rosa Mirian Rivera de Pineda and Victor Gomez a father of three.

The family of the man who fatally shot three people at at the Greenwood Park Mall said Friday that they had no inkling that he was capable of the violence.

They said their last communications with Jonathan Sapirman in the days before the attack were “cheerful” and that he was looking forward to future plans.

The Sapirmans also said they have “no feelings of hostility” toward Elisjsha Dicken the man who ended the attack by fatally shooting Sapirman.
