A Chicago Cubs pitcher will take the mound for the South Bend Cubs on Friday, July 29.

Lefty Wade Miley is expected to make a rehab assignment following a shoulder injury.

He last pitched with the Chicago Cubs in early June.

Miley previously played for the South Bend Silver Hawks during the 2009 season.

There’s no word on how long he’ll be in South Bend.

The hometown Cubs take on the Lake County Captains Friday, Saturday and Sunday.
