A woman was thrown from a horse-drawn buggy after a rear-end collision east of Goshen.

The crash happened around 10:20 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 26, near the intersection of County Road 34 and County Road 131.

A vehicle driven by an 82-year-old man from Goshen was traveling westbound on County Road 34 and was behind the buggy which also was westbound when the two collided, throwing the 34-year-old Goshen woman driving the buggy onto the ground.

The man told officers he didn’t see the buggy, which continued traveling for several miles with a 3-year-old child still inside.

The Goshen woman was taken to the hospital with a non-life-threating head injury. The child was not hurt.

The Goshen man who police say caused the crash was cited for following too closely causing injury.
