Two people were shot in two separate shootings in South Bend.

One of the shootings happened around 3:30 p.m. on Sunday, Aug. 28,  in the area of Portage Road and King Street. One person was injured.

About an hour later, police were called to the 1900 block of Lincoln Way West where officers found another victim injured.

There was no immediate word about the severity of the injuries, what led to the gunfire, or any suspects or arrests.
