Goshen Mayor, Jeremy Stutsman, is adding another role of service as a politician.

Lt. Gov., Suzanne Crouch, appointed Stutsman to be a member of the Indiana Housing Task Force, where he will help find ways to improve access to housing in the Hoosier state.

The task force was created in March and will present their findings on November 1.

They say that the goal of the group is to review data on housing shortages  for low income and middle income households, review state laws that affect the local regulation of housing, and review efforts in other states to tackle the issue.

They’ll also look at how to increase housing options in Indiana.

Stutsman has worked on the housing shortage in Goshen in the past.

He says that he looks forward to sharing his success in Goshen with the broader Indiana community.
