Man arrested after more than 45 pounds of marijuana found during traffic stop

One man was arrested after illegal drugs were found during a traffic stop in Fulton County.

It happened on Saturday, August 27, when deputies issued the stop on U.S 31, near Old US Highway 31.

That’s when officers used their K9 unit to conduct an air sniff.

When they searched the vehicle, officers found 45 pounds of marijuana, 17 grams of meth, THC products, and a loaded handgun.

The man, 46-year-old John Madden, was arrested on charges of possession of methamphetamine, dealing in marijuana, possession of marijuana, and possession of paraphernalia.
