Douglas Road reopened to traffic between Twyckenham and State Road 23

(Jon Zimney/95.3 MNC)

As of late Monday afternoon, Sep. 7, Douglas Road has been re-opened to east/west traffic through Ironwood between Twyckenham and State Road 23.

Traffic is transitioned into two lanes approaching Ironwood and restricted to two lanes from the west approach, through the intersection to State Road 23.

Ironwood Road will remain closed both north and south of Douglas while construction continues on the Ironwood bridge over Juday Creek along with some incidental work in and around the intersection.

It is expected that Ironwood will re-open toward late October, once work on the bridge is complete.
