Cheese Danish making a limited comeback at McDonalds this fall

There’s something coming back to McDonalds for the fall, and it has nothing to do with Pumpkin Spice.

For the first time since the 1980s, the restaurant is bringing back their cheese danish. It’s a pastry filled with sweet cream cheese and topped with buttery streusel and a light vanilla drizzle.

The flaky pastry will be added to the McCafe menu for a limited time on Wednesday. McDonalds says the all-day menu item will give customers a chance to change up their seasonal routines “in a world of pumpkin, maple and pecan.”

Last fall they made a similar temporary move with the glazed pull-apart donut.
