Smoker Craft cuts ribbon at New Paris facility

(Tommie Lee/MNC)

Senator Todd Young was in Michiana this week for a special ribbon-cutting ceremony.

The Senator attended the grand opening of the new Smoker Craft facility on Monday. The company builds aluminum and fiberglass fishing boats and pontoons. Their new facility is located on CR 23 in New Paris.

A company official says the construction of the new building marks the beginning of a new era with a focus on improving efficiencies and growing production, according to WSBT.

Senator Young hopes that it will bring high-tech manufacturing jobs to Indiana.
